Art for surfaces that shape everyday life.
Surface pattern, illustration and textile design for fashion, home décor, and beyond—created with a love for colour, texture and visual storytelling.

The studio
Thoughtful pattern, grounded in how a product will live.
I’m Aashima, an illustrator and surface pattern and textile designer based in Auckland, originally from India.
I create seamless repeats, placement and engineered prints that bring beauty and character to fabric, fashion, interiors and everyday objects. Each collection balances expressive detail with practical application.
01 · Pattern portfolio
Print concepts shaped for every stage of a product.
Explore four distinct approaches—from flowing repeats to artwork precisely composed around a finished garment.
01.1
Surface Patterns
Seamless repeats that flow without interruption—building rhythm, movement and visual depth across fabric, wallpaper and product surfaces.

01.2
Panel Prints
Complete visual stories composed within a defined canvas—made to become a striking, self-contained feature on fabric or product.

01.3
Placement Prints
Focal motifs created for one intentional position—giving pockets, fronts, backs and product details a distinctive point of view.

01.4
Engineered Prints
Precision-led compositions tailored to garment pieces—scaled to follow seams, frame edges and move naturally with the finished form.

02 · Illustrations
Original scenes inspired by observation and everyday moments.
Illustrations that turn familiar spaces, architecture and small human details into warm visual narratives.

03 · Collections
Connected stories, developed as complete visual worlds.
Each collection brings colour, motif and mood into one considered family—designed to work beautifully together across coordinated products and surfaces.

04 · Collaborations
Bespoke artwork shaped around a brand, person or meaningful occasion.
I collaborate with brands and individuals on custom collections, licensed artwork and thoughtful one-off pieces—bringing a clear visual point of view to each brief.
